Longtime WFAN personality Mike Francesa, known to most as "the Sports Pope," remains part of the WFAN program with a daily half-hour show titled “Mike’s On,” airing weekdays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Mike will also host special programs and remote broadcasts, and contribute to other shows on WFAN.

For nearly 30 years, afternoon drive on WFAN had been the broadcast home of Francesa, one of radio’s most celebrated and successful personalities.

Mike is perhaps best known to the world for his long-term presence on the radio as the host of the “Mike and the Mad Dog” show on WFAN, but he has also had a number of other successes over the course of his lucrative career since the late 1970s.

Now into his fourth decade with WFAN, Mike Francesa has firmly established himself as the most celebrated and successful sports talk show host in the history of radio.

A two-time winner of radio’s highest honor, the Marconi Award, as Major Market Personality and an inductee into the National Radio Hall of Fame, Mike unfailingly delivers a sports talk show that New York fans recognize as the best.
