Barkley rushed for 142 yards on 27 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns against Tampa Bay. He also caught two receptions including a receiving touchdown.

"The run game kind of dictated the whole outcome of the game," Barkley said. "Setting up the pass, play-action, keeping the play clock going, time of possession -- I would say definitely the run game has been mine and the team as a whole best game.

The Giants have surprised many by showing spirit and togetherness late in the season.

"The toughest part for me is continuing to keep staying to who you are, continue to keep fighting through adversity," Barkley said. "This team has been through a lot of adversity. A lot of people and a lot of teams will have quit and gave up. Speaking as a team and as a whole, we've been able to stay together and continue to believe in each other and continue to fight with each other. That's just a tough thing to do even outside of football, just in life in general. That's something that we've been able to do."

The former Penn State standout spoke about his adjustments from college to the NFL.

"I quickened my first step up a little bit this week," Barkley said, "Coach wanted me to get the dirty runs. The three, the four and five-yard runs. So, I kind of took more of that mindset. That comes with the pace of the game, the type of team you're playing, the type of defenders you're going against. For this week, that pacing with the help of the offensive line and the playcalling really helped us a lot in the run game."
