WFAN Reairing Classic Mets, Giants, NCAA Games Through The Weekend
April 02, 2020 - 10:58 am

WFAN continues to bring you classic games through the weekend, including Mets, Giants and NCAA tournament action.

On Thursday, we’ll reair Johan Santana’s no-hitter against the Cardinals from June 1, 2012. Then on Friday, it’s Mets vs. Braves from Sept. 21, 2001 — the first game played in New York after the 9/11 attacks. Those broadcasts begin at 7 p.m.

Howie Rose will preview Thursday’s and Friday’s games beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mike Baxter, who made a great catch to help preserve Santana’s no-hitter, will be Howie’s guest Thursday.

On Saturday night, we continue our coverage of great games in NCAA Tournament history by airing a doubleheader that starts at 7 with Kentucky vs. Wisconsin in the 2015 Final Four. That’ll be followed at 9:30 by Villanova vs. Georgetown in their iconic championship game from 1985.

Then on Sunday at 7 p.m., Eli Manning and the Giants visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC wild-card game from Jan. 6, 2008. This was the first of four straight Giants playoff wins including Super Bowl XLII.

You can hear all the action on 101.9 FM, 660 AM,, the RADIO.COM app or your smart speaker (say “Play W-F-A-N.”)
