Fresh off winning Super Bowl LIII, Devin McCourty joined “Mike’s On” during Wednesday’s show.

The 31-year-old free safety has now captured three Super Bowl rings (XLIX, LI, LIII) after being selected by the New England Patriots in 2010 after graduating from Rutgers.

Winning Super Bowl LII was sweeter for McCourty, as he reached football’s mountaintop alongside twin brother, Jason.

“That was amazing,” McCourty said. “That night, the afterparty, then yesterday at the parade, family being there watching – we had a good time.”

The McCourty twins and New England’s defense shut out the Los Angeles Rams for three quarters to win the Super Bowl, 13-3.

“I did feel like going into Kansas City and going into this game that we had two of our best game plans that I’ve felt going into a game,” McCourty said. “Just feeling like everyone knew exactly what we wanted to do. It felt like it could be very effective.”

McCourty recorded two total tackles and one solo tackle in the Super Bowl victory.

Francesa asked if McCourty is considering retirement.

“I haven’t even thought about any of that yet,” McCourty said. “I’m just been trying to get acclimated to being home full-time. I had to wake up with the little ones today, so I haven’t even really thought about that.”

Reliable As Ever, Patriots' Edelman Wins Super Bowl MVP

Some experts viewed the Patriots as an underdog heading into the 2018-19 playoffs.

“This is now my ninth year,” McCourty said. “Being on the Patriots, we’ve been the top seed a lot of times or the two seed. Going into the playoffs, people are like ‘the Patriots are my favorite.’ We went in this year and I think almost everyone had us ranked at the back of the playoffs. I thought this team kind of blocked all that out and used it as motivation. (We) made it all the way there and to win it to me was tremendous. This was by far to me, the best kind of team overall effort for a full regular season and playoffs that we’ve ever had.”
