The Giants take on a talented New Orleans Saints team at home in Week 4.

Big Blue will have to try to slow Drew Brees and Co. down without a few of their key contributors on the defensive side of the ball.

Olivier Vernon (ankle) and Eli Apple (groin) will once again be on the sidelines for New York, as the defensive end will miss his fourth game of the season while Apple will sit out for the second consecutive week, head coach Pat Shurmur announced Friday.

It's a big blow for the Giants, who had hope Vernon would be able to suit up after the 27-year-old returned to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday.

Joining the two defenders on the sidelines will be wide receiver Cody Latimer (knee), running back Jonathan Stewart (foot), and tight end Evan Engram (knee).
