The Baltimore Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh reportedly have an agreement in principle on a long-term contract extension, according to ESPN.

Harbaugh had one year left on his existing contract. He helped lead the Ravens to an AFC North title this season after a 4-5 start. His switch to Lamar Jackson at QB propelled the team on a run to the playoffs.

After turning the team around, it didn't make much sense at all to get rid of Harbaugh. He's had a strong track record with the Ravens, leading them to the playoffs seven times, and winning one Super Bowl in the 2012 season.

The Ravens have confidence with Harbaugh in developing Jackson next season and potentially being a Super Bowl contender.
