The Yankees have announced their lineup for Wednesday's crucial AL Wild Card game against the Oakland Athletics.

Mid-season addition Andrew McCutchen leads things off and is followed by Aaron Judge and Aaron Hicks. Giancarlo Stanton makes his postseason debut from the cleanup spot, while recent revelation Luke Voit bats fifth. The lineup is rounded out by Didi Gregorius, Miguel Andújar, Gary Sanchez, and Gleyber Torres.

That's the group Aaron Boone will turn to in this winner-take-all matchup.

Voit batting fifth is a big step for a player who wasn't in the picture until the Yankees traded for him on July 27th.

After poor regular seasons, Greg Bird and Sonny Gray won't be able to redeem themselves in Wednesday night's American League wild-card game.

The Yankees left the first baseman and pitcher off their 25-man roster for their one-game showdown with the Oakland A's.

Bird hit .199 this season with 11 homers and 38 RBIs, opening the door for midseason trade acquisition Luke Voit to take over at first base.

Gray, who was moved from the rotation into the bullpen in August, went 11-9 this season with a 4.90 ERA.

Other big names left off the playoff roster are pitcher CC Sabathia and infielder Ronald Torreyes.

The Bombers will have a nine-man bullpen available to back up starter Luis Severino.
