With the Super Bowl behind us, it’s time to look ahead to the NFL draft. And this year’s incoming class of rookies will become a hot topic when the Combine begins in two weeks in Indianapolis.

Many opinions will undoubtedly be swayed over the next couple of months, but here’s a look at some of the players recent mocks have the Giants selecting as of now with the fourth overall pick.

Included in mock drafts by CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards and Yahoo’s Eric Edholm

“New York needs to improve Daniel Jones' protection on the edge and Wirfs seems like a Dave Gettleman pick,” Edwards writes

JEDRICK WILLS JR., OT, ALABAMA

Included in mock drafts by Sports Illustrated’s Kevin Hanson, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley, CBS Sports’ RJ White and USA Today’s Nate Davis

“Rarely do offensive tackles come into the NFL so game-ready, but Wills has plug-and-play traits and an ability to play any offensive line spot at a high level,” Miller wrote

CEEDEE LAMB, WR, OKLAHOMA

Include in mock draft by NFL.com’s Chad Reuter

“GM Dave Gettleman could go with an offensive tackle here, but Lamb may be too valuable a weapon to pass on with last year's sixth overall pick, quarterback Daniel Jones, entering Year 2,” Reuter wrote

ANDREW THOMAS, OT, GEORGIA

Included in mock drafts by WalterFootball.com, Newsday’s Nick Klopsis and RADIO.COM's Tim Kelly

“The 6-5, 320-pounder has excellent technique in pass protection and long arms to keep opposing pass rushers at bay,” Klopsis wrote. “He also has experience at right tackle.”

ISAIAH SIMMONS, LB, CLEMSON

Isaiah Simmons
John David Mercer

Included in mock drafts by the New York Post’s Steve Serby, DraftTek.com, ESPN’s Todd McShay and ESPN’s Mel Kiper

“Protecting Daniel Jones is paramount, and Nick Saban is sure to be whispering sweet nothings to Joe Judge about the merits of offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., who would be a plug-and-play RT because he played there exclusively,” Serby wrote. “But if GM Dave Gettleman can sign OT Jack Conklin in free agency, he can turn his attention to the kind of playmaker Big Blue desperately needs — a 6-foot-4, 230-pound Swiss Army knife who can play safety, rush the passer, do whatever, and will test well at the Combine.”

MEKHI BECTON, OT, LOUISVILLE

Included in mock draft by NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah

“Dave Gettleman loves big, physical football players, and they don't get any bigger than Becton (listed at 6-foot-7, 369 pounds),” Jeremiah wrote. “He is a mauler in the run game, and he's shockingly nimble in pass protection.
