Listen to your team news NOW.

Jeter was elected to the 2020 National Baseball Hall of Fame class alongside Canadian outfielder Larry Walker. He's set to be inducted in a ceremony on July 26. Jeter received 99.7 percent of votes from the Baseball Writers' Association of America, falling one vote shy of becoming the second Yankee to receive a unanimous election. He appeared on 396 out of 397 ballots.

The one-vote snub didn't sit well with the baseball world. Even Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reacted on social media.
