With 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter on a 3rd-and-18 at the Miami Dolphins 46-yard line trailing 21-19, New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold threw an incomplete pass to wide receiver Vyncint Smith, which should've set up a fourth-and-18 situation. There was plenty of contact between Smith and Dolphins defender Nick Needham.

The Jets challenged the ruling on the field of no pass interference. Ultimately, after the officials reviewed the play, the call was reversed, giving New York a fresh set of downs at the Miami 38-yard line.

Darnold and the offense would move the ball down the field all the way to the Miami 26-yard line, allowing Kicker Sam Ficken to kick the game-winning 44-yard field goal as time expired. The Jets' 22-21 victory improved their record to 5-8 on the year.

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was not happy with the call. Miami came in hot, having defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 37-31 last week.
