The league will cut out the scheduled first and fourth preseason games, while keeping the second and third games.

For the Giants and Jets, that means their annual preseason clash, scheduled this year for Aug. 13, will not happen, and both teams will also lose their scheduled Sept. 3 games – Big Blue hosting the Patriots at MetLife Stadium and Gang Green visiting the Eagles in Philly, respectively.

For the Giants, the preseason is now Aug. 22 at the Titans and Aug. 29 hosting the Packers, while the Jets will visit Detroit on Aug. 20 and then host the Steelers on Aug. 28.The NFL is still planning to hold its training camp on time, with teams reportedly asked to report July 28 to home facilities.
