Reports: Knicks To Sign John Jenkins To 2-Year Contract

February 20, 2019 - 10:29 am

Two games were apparently all the Knicks needed to see before deciding to sign John Jenkins for two years.

The Knicks will reward the 27-year-old shooting guard with a new deal after his 10-day contract expires, according to multiple reports. The two-year deal is not fully guaranteed, ESPN reported.

In the two games he's played in since being signed by the Knicks earlier this month, Jenkins has scored 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting overall and 3-of-9 from 3-point range.

Jenkins was a first-round pick (23rd overall) by the Atlanta Hawks in 2012. After spending three seasons with the Hawks, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Jenkins has bounced around the league, playing for the Mavericks, Suns and Wizards.
