The order at the top of the 2019 NBA Draft could change quite a bit before the teams actually start selecting players.

Listen to your team news NOW.

There has been an abundance of rumors about different teams trading down, especially after the first two picks, as there is a general consensus that the talent available in the lottery drops off after Zion Williamson and Ja Morant.

Sitting at pick No. 3 with a decision to make: the New York Knicks.

There is certainly interest in the pick if they decide to deal it. According to a report from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, the Knicks rejected an offer the Atlanta Hawks made for the pick.

Duke's RJ Barrett is the player projected to go in that spot. The Knicks were the only team that Barrett worked out for. Afterwards, he spoke about how much he wanted to play in New York and at Madison Square Garden, saying it would be "a lot of fun."

Barrett isn’t Zion Williamson, but he was still a crucial part of a Duke team that was considered to be the best in the country for a lengthy period of last season. The Toronto native averaged 22.6 points and 4.3 assists as a freshman at Duke.

The draft is just days away, but another option seems to now just be presenting itself to the Knicks. Givony also reports that New York had Vanderbilt’s Darius Garland in for a “last minute” workout before Thursday.

Garland is still a highly regarded prospect, but he’s also still a bit of an unknown. He only played five games for Vanderbilt before suffering a knee injury.

The Knicks need to get this decision right in the aftermath of missing out on Williamson, and possibly missing out on Kevin Durant.
