One game into the season and the Jets will already be without one of their top receivers for the remainder of the year.

Gang Green placed Quincy Enunwa on injured reserve on Wednesday as he suffered a neck injury in their Week 1 17-16 loss to the Bills. It is the second time in three seasons that Enunwa has suffered a serious neck injury. Coach Adam Gase does not know yet whether it will require surgery, but his 2019 season is over.

With Enunwa out, the Jets traded a 2021 sixth-round draft pick to the Patriots for WR Demaryius Thomas. The former Broncos wideout worked with Adam Gase with the Broncos for three seasons in 2013-2015, so it should not take too long for the five-time Pro Bowler to get accustomed to the offense.

On Wednesday, the team announced that they have claimed defensive lineman Jordan Willis. The 2017 third-round pick played all 32 games (two starts) for the Bengals the last two seasons. Willis put up 45 tackles and two sacks. The 270-pounder made the Bengals roster, but was inactive in Week 1. He was then waived on Tuesday.
