There is apparently a budding rivalry between Devils defenseman P.K. Subban and a key member of the Philadelphia Flyers — Gritty.

Listen to your team news NOW.

The Flyers' fuzzy mascot taunted Subban before New Jersey played at Philadelphia on Wednesday night by holding a sign up to the glass that read "Lindsey Could do Better" and included arrows pointing to himself. Gritty was referring to Olympic gold medal skiier Lindsey Vonn, Subban's fiancée.

The gag didn't elicit any noticeable reaction from Subban, according to reports.

But apparently Subban and Gritty have a history.

On Oct. 2, the Devils star posted separate photos on Twitter of himself and Gritty ziplining with the caption, "Who did it better?" Gritty replied, "ur obsessed with me."

Gritty's Flyers won the game 4-0. Regardless, this is one rivalry we're hoping grows in intensity.
