New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic regional champ, managed just two hits against the team from River Ridge, Louisiana, and scored its lone run on J.R. Rosado's triple in the sixth inning.

Elmora committed three errors, which all proved to be costly. Louisiana's Ryan Darrah scored on an error by New Jersey's third baseman in the first inning. A third-inning error by the second baseman allowed Louisiana, the Southwest regional champion, to take a 2-0 lead.

Later in the third inning, a failed pick-off attempt at third base allowed two more runs to score.

The Troopers went 2-2 in the Little League World Series. They won their opener 6-2 over Rhode Island on Friday night, lost to Hawaii 6-0 in a game that started Sunday and was completed Monday after being suspended due to rain, then beat Rhode Island again 2-0 on Tuesday night.

"#EYL #Troopers proved that great things are happening in #Elizabeth the boy united our city and state we are so proud of there accomplishments," a post on the Elmora team's Twitter account said after Wednesday's loss.
