Listen to your team news NOW.

MLB Network insider Joel Sherman first tweeted out that Gregorius is in agreement on a deal to join his former manager Joe Girardi and the Philadelphia Phillies.

According to WFAN's Sweeny Murti, the contract is just a one-year deal.

Jim Salisbury, Phillies insider for NBC Sports Philadelphia, reports the contract is worth $14 million.

It's been a busy start to free agency for the Phillies. In addition to Gregorius, the team officially signed former Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler on Monday to a five-year, $118 million deal.

In 82 games last season, Gregorius batted .238, hitting 16 home runs and 61 runs batted in. He spent the last five seasons in the Bronx and became a fan favorite, three of which were with Girardi (2015-17) including advancing to Game 7 of the American League Championship Series in 2017.
