Spencer Dinwiddie has opted out of joining the Brooklyn Nets for the resumption of the NBA season inside the Disney World bubble, announcing his decision on Twitter on Tuesday morning.

Dinwiddie has now twice tested positive for coronavirus, the second one coming on Monday, and so he has decided to opt out of the remainder of the year.

Dinwiddie had not ruled out playing after first announcing that he had tested positive and remained symptomatic, only saying he would see how the future played out. Now, with the second positive test, that future includes no basketball, further depleting a Nets roster that will try to hold on to the No. 7 playoff seed they have heading into the resumption of play.

Already, Dinwiddie is the third Net to opt out over coronavirus concerns, following Wilson Chandler and DeAndre Jordan, and the team is also without injured superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
