The Mets have reached a two-year, $20 million deal with free agent infielder Jed Lowrie, according to multiple reports.

Lowrie joins a revamped infield that includes Robinson Cano, Todd Frazier and Jeff McNeil.

General manager Brodie Van Wagenen has been busy this offseason reshaping the Amazins ahead of what should be a competitive National League East race in 2019. He was formerly Lowrie's agent.

Lowrie was selected to his first All-Star Game in 2018.

The 34-year-old switch-hitter set career highs with 23 home runs and 99 RBIs last season as a member of the Oakland Athletics.

Lowrie finished tied for 20th in the American League MVP voting. He helped Oakland make the playoffs three times.

The versatile infielder owns a .262 lifetime average with 104 homers and 509 RBIs in 1,109 regular season games.
