The Knicks have officially struck a deal with Kevin Knox.

New York’s first-round draft pick signed a multi-year deal Thursday, though the details of the contract have not been disclosed in accordance with Knicks' policy.

The 18-year-old was selected ninth overall in this year’s NBA draft out of the University of Kentucky.

The Knicks are hopeful that Knox’s 6-foot-9 frame and capable three-point shooting potential will help the forward develop into an effective and versatile pro.

Before the draft, speculation arose regarding Knox’s perceived lack of drive, though Knox has been persistent in addressing his desire to win with the Knicks.

“I just want to win. That’s all I care about. I just want to win. I want to make it to the championship. That makes everyone on the team look better,” Knox said.

The forward participated in his first Summer League practice Tuesday.

“I’m not worried about personal stats. It’s Summer League. I’m just trying to win and get a feel for the game and a feel for my teammates.”

Knox will make his NBA Summer League debut on Saturday with the Knicks in Las Vegas.
