Jets safety Jamal Adams joined CMB in his regular Tuesday afternoon spot to discuss Sunday's 42-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Adams figured into several big plays on the defensive side. He tipped an Andrew Luck to teammate Morris Claiborne, who intercepted the pass and took it to the house for a touchdown. Adams also forced a fumble that resulted in another Jets’ touchdown.

Following the victory, a self-critiquing Adams repeatedly told reporters: “I sucked.”

On Tuesday’s show, Bart Scott asked Adams about the energy gained by defensive turnovers. The Jets only trail the Cleveland Browns with 15 takeaways.

“A momentum shift, man,” Adams responded. “It definitely brings energy to the stadium. Our fans get on their seat and are screaming. It gives our offense momentum to punch the ball in after a turnover. It was definitely key.”

At 3-3, the Jets have contended with injuries throughout the season.

“We pride ourselves on trying not to have any weak links in our room,” Adams said. “Next man is always up. We’re well-coached and we have guys that can step right in and cover for those (injured) guys – and just continue the energy back there. As long as we play as one, continue to be fundamentally sound and working on the little things at all times, we’ll be fine.”

After defeating the Colts, the Jets have won two-straight games.

“It’s a mindset that we have this year,” Adams said. “We finish strong. We went through so much adversity. As a team, we figured out how to get out of it. That’s what the good teams do. They find a way. No matter how ugly the win was, we found a way and we stuck together and we beat adversity.

"We had to grow as a team. Each and every day, we're growing. It showed out there this past week."
