The Nets released their preseason schedule on Wednesday. As expected, Brooklyn will play four preseason games, but only two of which will occur in New York.

Brooklyn's opener will take place on October 4 against Franca Basquete of Brazil at Barclays Center.

The Nets will then travel to China to take on the Los Angeles Lakers twice at the Mercedes Benz Center in Shanghai. These two contests will occur on October 10 and October 12.

The team's final preseason match against the defending champion Toronto Raptors will be hosted by Nassau Coliseum on October 18.

The trip to China will be the franchise's third this decade, as Brooklyn played in Beijing and Guangzhou in 2010, and in Beijing and Shanghai in 2014.

This will make the first time since 2015 that the Nets and Knicks did not face off in the preseason.
