The Giants have been been garnering criticism from every direction since it was reported that they would be trading star WR Odell Beckham Jr. to Cleveland.

While the move seems to indicate a rebuild for Big Blue, many around the league did not think New York received fair value in the deal with the Browns.

New York acquired the 17th overall pick, the 95th overall pick and safety Jabrill Peppers, a haul that general manager Dave Gettleman seemed pleased about Wednesday.

The trade may not have been popular with some, but WFAN's Mike Francesa was on-board with the move.

"Odell Beckham never made First-team All-Pro with the Giants," Francesa said during the open of "Mike's On" Thursday. "Not only did his teams go 31-50 and never win a playoff game, but he never made First-team All-Pro. Not once! Not one time. He made Second-team (All-Pro) twice."

Beckham caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in only 12 games for the Giants last season.

Despite the production, New York finished with a middle-of-the-pack scoring offense and a record of just 5-11.

While many Giants fans will miss the explosiveness of the 26-year-old wide receiver, Francesa believes Beckham was just as much of a nuisance to the team as he was a star talent.

"When you talk about having players on a franchise and you act like you know something about the NFL and then talk about how the Giants have never had a player the magnitude of Odell Beckham, shut up!" Francesa exclaimed. "You don't even know what you're talking about. It's insane.

"To these guys, life has become an Xbox game. And the NFL has become an Xbox game. It has nothing to do with the field. It has nothing to do with productivitiy. It has nothing to do with what your team does. It has nothing to do with any of that. Here was a player who was as destructive as he was talented, and this team was going nowhere!"
