Mickey Callaway's seat is sizzling hot. After getting swept in embarrassing fashion by the previously 10-31 Marlins in Miami, the Mets are now 20-25 and losers of five straight games. Callaway's days as the Mets manager look to be numbered.

WFAN's Mike Francesa opened Monday's show reacting to the rough weekend for the Mets.

"This was a very bad weekend for Mickey. Number one the fundamentals weren't there. He did not react," Francesa said. "He looked terrible in making excuses for him. He should have been pulled out of the game. He didn't do it once, he did it twice. You gotta go out there and set an example. This is his team. We knew he had to be the leader. Him and Ramos. They both have been bad. Mickey missed an opportunity. When your player doesn't hustle in front of you for two straight games, you can not make excuses for him. Robinson Cano has grown up in pressure-packed situations. He is a borderline or right on the verge of being a Hall of Fame player. He's got paid an absolute fortune. For him to pull those stunts are completely unacceptable. The manager embarrassed himself and the organization more. Now it's too late. If you came out today with Cano in the lineup tonight, all it looks like is he reacted to the media. You missed your opportunity."

Callaway's job is safe for now as Brodie Van Wagenen gave him the vote of confidence Monday.

"The Mets have been awful for a long time and this looks so much like last year. Mickey has not shown in the least bit that he's a good manager."
