DAYTON, Ohio (WFAN) -- LIU Brooklyn ran out of magic in the First Four round of the NCAA tournament on Tuesday night.

It was a tight game for much of the night. Radford led just 30-28 at halftime, trailed briefly early in the second half and was clinging to a 59-58 advantage with 5:07 remaining.

However, the Highlanders closed out the contest on a 12-3 run. They advance to face Villanova, the top seed in the East Regional, on Thursday in Pittsburgh.

Ed Polite Jr. had 13 points and 12 rebounds for Radford (23-12). Travis Fields Jr. added 13 points off the bench. Carlik Jones had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Donald Hicks chipped in with 11 points.

Jashaun Agosto led LIU Brooklyn (17-16) with 16 points. Raiquan Clark (14 points) and Julian Batts (13 points) also finished in double figures.
