The losses continue to stockpile for the Mets. Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Braves in Atlanta makes that 10 losses in their last 10 games and the team is now 28-36 and 9.5 games back of the Braves in the NL East. It marked another futile effort from the offense, and another game where Jacob deGrom got no run support. There was no better time than now for Mike Francesa to rip the Mets apart for their futility.

"I can't watch it anymore! The Mets are the worst offensive team I've ever seen! You can lose and have a pulse. This team doesn't have a pulse," Francesa said on WFAN Wednesday. "And the manager sits there after every game -- you know what he reminds me of, I just figured it out: Rich Kotite!

"They are putting together epic numbers now in terms of their futility. ... This team is epic. They are legendary. They are so bad they're memorable. They are now the worst offensive team we've ever laid eyes on. They never have a rally. They never score."

Being bad is something the Mets have turned very good at.

"They have almost become the Picasso of being bad. That's how good they are. They are great at being bad. They have turned it into an art form. Never have I seen it like this. This is actually pitiful. This is past bland. It's past bad. It's actually to a level all by itself as to how anemically they are at playing baseball."

Can the Mets continue throwing the same guys out there?

"If you're Sandy Alderson, do something. Change something. Move somebody. ... You cannot put the same guys out there every single day."
