The 7-foot-1 center went on to average 7.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 20.6 minutes per game for the Knicks, appearing in 66 games throughout the season.

Robinson led all rookies that played at least 300 minutes with a 69.4 shooting percentage, becoming the first rookie in NBA history to average 2.4+ blocks and shoot at least 60% from the field. He also set an NBA rookie record for highest field goal percentage with a minimum of 200 field goals made.

The 21-year-old center was the only representative from the Knicks to make either All-Rookie team. 9th overall pick Kevin Knox finished with just 22 Second Team votes, while undrafted rookie Allonzo Trier collected 10 Second Team votes.
