Reports: Jets To Sign WR Jamison Crowder To 3-Year, $28.5M Deal

March 11, 2019 - 4:41 pm

Sam Darnold will now have a really good slot receiver next season. According to multiple reports, ex-Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder intends to sign with the Jets.

ESPN reports that Crowder will sign a three-year, $28.5 million deal, which includes $17 million guaranteed. The deal will become official Wednesday afternoon once the free agency officially begins at 4 p.m.

Crowder only played nine games last season due to injury, but put up strong numbers in his first three seasons with the Redskins. The 25-year-old had had 29 catches for 388 yards and two TDs last season. In 15 games in 2017, Crowder had 66 receptions for 789 yards and three TDs. He's got 221 catches, 2,628 receiving yards and 14 TDs in his four NFL seasons.

Crowder will give the Jets young QB their top slot option in 2019. He's expected to join Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson at receiver. The Jets probably aren't done adding to the position either.
