Hank Haney joined Mike Francesa on Wednesday afternoon to preview the British Open. The 147th Open Championship will be held 19–22 July 2018 at Carnoustie Golf Links in Angus, Scotland.

The famed instructor picked Tiger Woods to win the tournament. Haney is best known for coaching Woods and Mark O'Meara.

"I like him here," Haney said. "I like Tiger to win another tournament this year. I like him to win another major. The one thing that he has the best chance to win is an open championship -- British Open -- because of the courses, the weather, the experience needed. You get hard, firm, fast Open Championships where distance doesn't necessarily become that much of a factor. So guys can win later in their career. We saw Tom Watson almost win it at 60 years old. Greg Norman almost won at 54.

"Let's face it. Tiger's not the straightest driver of the golf ball. He can get away with it at open championships and Carnoustie is spaced out."

Woods, 42, has won the tournament three times in his career, last winning The Open Championship in 2006. Woods has recorded three top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season.
