It will soon be a Happy Gleyber Day again for Yankees fans. Yankees manager Aaron Boone joined WFAN's Mike Francesa Friday in his weekly spot. Boone says that the Yankees rookie sensation Gleyber Torres should return to the team in Tampa either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

"He starts his rehab tomorrow," Boone said on WFAN. "He's in Tampa now. He will play in a game tomorrow. He'll probably play in two or three games. He'll DH one of them. And then be ready to join us either Tuesday or Wednesday in Tampa."

"This was the timetable that took shape over the last week. He had to get all the discomfort out of there before he really started ramping up his rehab protocol. Any time you're dealing with a hip, these are things you have to get completely right and pass certain protocols, which he has done now and now he can play in some games."

The Yankees have the third best record in baseball, but still trail the best team in the league, the Boston Red Sox, by 4.5 games in the AL East.

"I absolutely think there is more in the tank," said Boone. "We need to improve in every area. Our expectation is we want to be great. It's a long way to get there."

Is this a team that can win the World Series?

"We have the chance to be a championship club," Boone said.
