The U.S. Open gets underway Thursday at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Course in New York. Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee joined Mike Francesa on WFAN Wednesday to preview this year's tournament.

A lot of people are picking Justin Rose coming in, but Chamblee disagrees.

"I get why people are choosing Justin Rose," Chamblee said on WFAN Wednesday. "I don't quite give him the edge over Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson and Jason Day, but I get why people are choosing Justin Rose, but I wouldn't make him my favorite."

The question everyone always wants an answer to is whether Tiger Woods can win. That's what brings more eyeballs to the weekend.

"I never ever thought he would come back and chip like this," said Chamblee. "I was blown away and happy to be wrong about that. He's still driving the ball poorly. He looks stressed and drives it poorly. For the first time in his career, he's putting very poorly. He just had the worst putting week. Maybe some of it has to do with his back. He's definitely got a different posture, which changes the arc of your stroke. In general, if Tiger Woods hits irons off the tee and he hits three-woods off the tee, and he avoids hitting drivers, he still is amongst the best iron players in the world. I definitely give Tiger Woods a shot this week if he doesn't use his driver."
