The Boston Red Sox put early pressure on the Yankees in ALDS Game 4.

Boston struck first on a sacrifice fly by J.D. Martinez to grab a 1-0 lead in the top of the third.

Ian Kinsler and Eduardo Nunez also drove in runs later in the inning to increase Boston's advantage to 3-0.

The Yankees began activity in the bullpen, but Aaron Boone stuck with CC Sabathia for the remainder of the inning.

Boone's decision was met with criticism on social media.

Sabathia worked his way out of trouble. He allowed three earned runs and five hits in three innings pitched. He walked two batters and struck out one.

Zach Britton replaced Sabathia in the top of the fourth. Britton surrendered a solo home run to Christian Vazquez, as the Red Sox increased their lead to 4-0.

The Red Sox eliminated the Yankees in four games, winning 4-3 on Tuesday.
