Boomer was out on Tuesday doing Boomer stuff, so Gio had the ‘update maven’ turned co-host, Jerry Recco, to his right and the two of them engaged in a spirited discussion on the New York Mets, who have now won three in-a-row. Despite the modest win streak, Gregg is having a tough time mustering up any sort of optimism with regard to his favorite baseball team, so enter Jerry.  Jerry is not ready to declare the Mets’ season is over and goes on to explain why. The Yankees also played some baseball down in Washington, first finishing up a game from May 15th – which the Bombers lost 5-3 thanks to a long, Juan Soto, pinch-hit homerun – and then topping the Nats 4-2, behind Sonny Gray’s fifth win of the season.
