Jim Rome is nominated for the the National Radio Hall of Fame, and he joined Boomer and Gio on Wednesday to campaign for votes.

"Listen, this thing is not a slam dunk," the popular CBS Sports Radio host said. "In my category, it's a voter category, but they've got me going up against political talkers and the like. This is not just me going up against other sports talk radio guys. This is not a slam dunk. So whereas, I don't want to try to pimp out for votes, it is a voter category, so we're doing whatever we can to get people to go to those two things, Gio, that you mentioned. And it's not an either/or -- they're asking people to vote twice."

The two ways to vote are to text "800" to 96000 or to vote at

Rome also reflected on his career.

"I can't believe that I've spent the last 30 years getting paid to talk junk, interview athletes, talk to my crazy listeners and the like," he said. "I mean, there's no bad days. Every single day, I get to come to work and talk sports for a living. In terms of what are better days, hey, look, it's a good day when J.R. Smith forgets what the score is at the end of a Finals game."

Of course, the guys talked sports with Rome, too, including where LeBron James might be playing next season. Click on the audio player above to listen to the interview.
