Jim Breuer is a longtime friend of the "Boomer and Gio" show, so he stopped by the Investors Bank Studio on Tuesday morning to promote his upcoming performance at the Paramount Theater (Oct. 13).

Of course, the comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum is also a Mets superfan. He said he likes the way the team has finished an otherwise disappointing season.

"I'll give them this credit: They didn't roll over and die," Breuer said. "They're clawing, fighting. This is what they do every year. They're giving me hope for next year."

He, however, said he is baffled by Yoenis Cespedes' ailing heels.

"What do you do? Was he pulling on an ox for 12 years?" Breuer said. "Like plowing the fields just using his heels as a skidder?"

The "Half Baked" star also discussed touring with Metallica and the podcast he does with his wife, and the guys fielded a surprise call from someone who didn’t know who he was.
