For the second day in a row, Boomer and Gio found themselves discussing losses by both the Mets and the Yankees. First they discussed the Mets, who wasted a terrific performance out of Jacob deGrom, losing 2-1 to the Marlins. Mickey Callaway’s bunch scored a total of four runs in the three-game series and Jose Reyes, who is not a starter, has been benched – make of that what you will.

As for the Yankees, 10 runs proved not to be enough out in Texas because they lost to the Rangers 12-10. In the loss, the Bombers bombed away, going deep four more times, and are now on a historic pace. But as good as they are, the Yanks are 5-5 in their last 10 games, and Boomer says they are in desperate need of another frontline starter.

So go ahead and give a listen. You’ll be happy you did.
