Bob Baffert doesn't love that Justify got the No. 1 post Satruday, but things could be worse.

"If he was going to get the one (spot) I'm glad it was now and not at the Kentucky Derby," Baffert told Mike Francesa Friday.

Oddly, as he tries to capture his second Triple Crown in four years, another Baffert-trained horse — Restoring Hope — will be running in the Belmont Stakes Saturday. And while that horse is a longshot at 30-1 odds, Baffert doesn't seem bothered by the idea of that horse potentially upsetting Justify's chance at history.

"Well, I mean I've gotten beat by my other horses a lot. It's happened a few times. But it's something that if it happens it happens, but we want to win the race," he reassured, referencing Justify.

Baffert also confessed to Francesa that his excitement for Justify grows week by week, but that he's trying to contain it. "I've never been one to really say there's no way I can lose because there's so many things that can go wrong, but I feel just as good about this horse as I did about American Pharoah."
